I would like to extend my gratitude to the committee for looking after me in the show today and a special thank you to my steward who made my job easier so I could concentrate on the show.  I had a large entry and I must thank the exhibitors for travelling long distance at a time when money is tight. It meant a lot so Thank you!!

Owners had put time and effort into getting their dogs fit and the winners that I picked & placed are great examples of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.   I had the pleasure of judging  quality dogs and had a few difficult decisions to make because the standard was so high.  I had a really enjoyable day so once again Thank you!

MINOR PUPPY DOG

1ST  McFadyen’s  ARAIDH ROLLER COASTER Nice black / brindle of 8 months. Nice head shape, good straight front, dark eye, good mouth, neat ears, level top line with which he held on the move. Well handled.

2nd Thomsan`s  KIAMIROSE BOSSIN MOTION AT SIRIUSTAFF  Black brindle of 7 months slightly heavier than first, strong head shape good mouth straight front, moved ok.

PUPPY DOG

1st Simpkins CHARMING BOBBY DAZZLER Black brindle of 8 months not really able to assess this youngster as he would rather play Movement was sound but as for the rest gave his handler a nightmare a few handling classes with this youngster and he should come on a bit, lovely temperament for a Stafford though.

JUNIOR DOG

1st Taylor & Hale ESKHARN JACK JONES  Black / brindle of only 13 months lovely looking dog of top quality, good head shape, nice rose ears, dark eye, strong under jaw with large teeth and correct bite. Nice length of leg, straight front with laid back shoulders nice spring of rib with a nice tuck up to follow good angulation at the rear movement was excellent keeping a level top line on the move fitness and condition were of the highest quality challenged all the way one to watch for the future.  RESERVE BEST DOG     

2nd Mr. & Mrs Mains ALAN SHEARER Black/White/Brindle. Nice standard dog of good proportion, neat rose ear, dark eye nice under jaw straight front. Fitness & condition was excellent. Level top line with which he held on the move.  Nice angulation moved & handled well.

3rd Mr. & Mrs. hyde  SEDGBRED SAMSSON


RES.  Johnson’s & Andrews TILLCARR RENEGADE FLAME - Top size brindle dog of nearly 12 months. Nice rose ears dark eye nice shaped head with nice length of neck which flowed into well laid back shoulders.Nice spring of rib on this youngster with good tuck up & level top line. Well angulated at rear, fitness & condition is coming on nicely. No weakness at the pasterns good bit of daylight under him. Immaturity was a factor in his placing in this class.  Will watch this one with interest in the future.

1st gibbins  CROSSGUNS FRED ASTAIRE - Black / white dog of good fit condition dark eye nice under jaw good front level top line moved ok

2nd bullock PRINCE WHITE SOCKS - Black/white dog slightly more of this one than the first fit condition nice dark eye ears not as neat as the first good under jaw straight front level top line which he held on the move

NOVICE DOG

1st            Winrows JAYNEZE MR. HAPPY - Black brindle top size dog of excellent quality nice dark eye neat ears good strong under jaw with big teeth and correct bite excellent fitness and condition straight front good level top line with which he held well on the move covered the mat with ease driving from his well angulated rear quarters at only 18 months old has a lot to offer the breed and challenged all the way for top honors

1st Hall`s WILLOWSTAFF BLACK PRINCE Very impressive black brindle dog stood out for me on the day nice dark eye lovely strong under jaw with good size teeth with a good bite lovely expression nothing overdone in any way around the head shape straight clean front good length of upper arm nice tidy feet good angulation at the rear quarters and moved well once settled with a level top line with which he kept on the move excellent fit clean condition but did make his handler work hard on the day.  BEST DOG & RES BEST IN SHOW

2nd Gregory`s`WILDSTAFF MISTER MACHISMO Black / white brindle standard dog of good fit condition nice rose ears clean head shape straight front with well laid back shoulders level top line good angulation at the rear moved and handled well

1st Mcgrath`s JAJCA PHOENIX FROM THE FLAME Top class red dog with excellent fitness and condition was very prominent in my final decision but as I have stated quality was in abundance in the classes today lovely clean head shape strong under jaw with correct bite darkest of eye straight front with well laid back shoulders level top line that he held well on the move very well angulated rear quarters very light ribbed with a very defined tuck up to finish the outline of an excellent example a weight to ratio Stafford a credit to his owners a pleasure to be able to judge him thank you for bring him

2nd lister`s CHENOVE BLACK SHADYBlack brindle standard dog nice clean head shape neat ears dark eye straight front well muscle toned and fit condition level top line which he held on the move good angulation at rear quarters well padded feet moved and handled well

OPEN DOG

1st folwell & morris ROWELLSTAFF CRIMSON DUKE Red dog that surprised me on the day nice clean head neat ears dark eye not too much of a black mask strong under jaw with big teeth and correct bite nicely laid back shoulders which flowed into a well sprung rib cage with a nice tuck up to finish the outlook good straight front nice feet rear angulation was strong with which he drove himself up the mat with ease as he covered the ground another one who is a credit to his owner and also figured prominent in my final decision

2nd O’Connor’s  CHEZATREE WHITE WIZARD White dog of top size slightly stronger the first nice head shape with strong under jaw neat ears dark eye straight front muscle tone and fitness and condition was excellent, level top line with which he held on the move good rear angulation and nice spring of rib just a few attributes about the first dog that swayed my decision in this class thanks for bringing him

1ST kerr`s  ALPORT WON SOC ON OF MAMASITAS    Standard 7 year old dog in exl condition for his age dark eye good strong under jaw with fit healthy teeth intact nice head shape and hardly any grey showing straight front level top line which he held on the move good rear angulation at the rear with good muscle and fitness for his age thank you for bringing him a credit to his owner

1st  hale & kemp`s CAYMENSTAFF OO LA LA Black/white brindle bitch of 8 months nicely put together very feminine look about her nice dark eye neat rose ears correct bite with a good strength of under jaw straight front tidy feet level top line which she held on the move for one so young good angulation at the rear moved and handled well BEST PUPPY BITCH

2nd  saunt`s CRAGAILS BRAW HIZZIE Black brindle of 9 months another lovely youngster  dark eye neat ears feminine shape head good strong under jaw straight front good level top line which she held on the move nice tidy feet good angulation at the rear moved and handled well these two youngsters will no doubt  change place in the future as they mature

1st Robinson`s  BOYDSLASS BEVIN BELLE Black brindle of 14 months top quality standard bitch which really impressed me on the day neat rose ears darkest of eye good size teethe with correct bite straight front with nice spring of rib cage level top line with a good tuck up to complete the outline good bend of stifle with no weakness at the pasterns moved up the mat with ease holding her top line as she moved fitness and condition were of the highest quality and as she matures hope she can make top honors immaturarty just held her back on the day but challenged all the way. A credit to her owners

2nd smith & cox WILLOWSTAFF PURE INSTINCT Another top quality 14 month old brindle bitch neat ears dark eye lovely feminine expression good size teeth straight front with tidy feet good spring of rib with a nice level top line good angulation at the rear which she drove up the mat with ease holding her top line as she went another top quality specimen of a young Stafford bitch just a few attributes that swayed my decision in this class a credit to her owners fitness and condition were again top class

Neat ears dark eye straight front with a level top line nice feminine shape head with strong under jaw nice size teeth with correct bit level top line which she held on the move fitness and condition were an issue moved and handled well

1st Clewley`s  ARAIDH TEA LEAF Black brindle bitch another top quality bitch neat rose ears dark eye lovely feminine shape head good length of muzzle good correct bit with ample size teeth good length of neck with adequate bone structure on her frame excellent spring of rib with a nice firm tuck to complete the picture fitness and condition were again excellent good angulation at the rear movement was effortless as she moved up and down the mat another that figured in my final decision

2nd Manito`s  DYNASTAFF MISS COMPLEX Black & white brindle bitch nice rose ears dark eye feminine head shape straight front with nice feet good spring of rib with good angulation at the rear good level top line which she held on the move excellent fitness and condition was again good moved and handled well

LIMIT BITCH

1st wild`s WILDSTAFF JO BLACK Black brindle bitch of excellent quality. I have admired her for some time now and judging her I was not disappointment.  Lovely neat rose ears, the darkest of eye, nice tight flews feminine head but with ample strength and depth.  Good length of muzzle, strong under jaw with large enough teeth and correct bite. Well laid back shoulders with a nice length of neck which flowed into the well sprung rib cage. A level top line and a good tuck up to complete the outline, good bend of stifle with no weakness at the pasterns present. The good length of upper arm completed the whole picture. Movement was first class as drove herself up and down the matt. Fitness and condition were to die for but with nothing over exaggerated an excellent example of weight to ratio <placew:ston>Stafford. A credit to her owner.  BEST BITCH AND BEST IN SHOW

2nd Johnson`s  TILLCARR BLACK BETTY J. W. Black & white brindle bitch of very hard fit condition, nice neat ears, good strong under jaw with correct bite, dark eye, straight front & nice level top line which she held on the move. Good rear angulation, moved and handled well.

3rd Morgan & Morgan Pistor`s RUBY ROSE DUCHESS AT BIGGLESWICK

1st Winrow & Rhodes JAYNEZE HASTA LA VISTA - Black/ brindle bitch slightly stronger than most today. As I went over her I could not fault her. Level rose ears, dark eye, and good strong shaped head but still feminine to look at large teeth with correct bite. Nice straight front with well laid back shoulders. Straight top line with a nice tuck up behind rib cage. Ample bone for her frame covered with a muscle to die for.  Lovely glossy well conditioned coat, with a nice length of upper arm. Movement on the matt was top class & covered the ground with ease, as she drove up the matt from her well angulated rear quarter. Was a tight decision but sure she will change places over time with other bitches here on show today. Credit to her owner. RESERVE BEST BITCH

2nd Bullocks DUCHESS BLACK BEAUTY J.W - Black/white/brindled top sized bitch. Fitness & condition were again to die for but just missed out to a bitch with a few better attributes which swayed my decision in the placings. Dark eye, neat ears, straight front, good level top line well laid back shoulders and ample bone for her frame.  Well sprung rib with a nice tuck up to finish the outline.  Well angulated rear hind quarters moved & handled well.

VETERAN BITCH

1st O’Connors’ BEARCREST EN VOGUE AT CHEZATREE - Black/white pied bitch. Old favorite of mine. Remember her 1st ticket as a puppy in Manchester Champ show!!! She really enjoyed herself. Neat rose ears, dark eye, lovely strong teeth with correct bite. Straight front, level topline, good spring of rib,with no muscle loss throughout her body. In excellent shape & condition for an 8yr old. Moved up & down the matt with sheer ease, a pleasure to go over her, a credit to her owner. Thank you for bringing her.  BEST VETERAN IN SHOW.

2nd Clewleys ARAIDH SWEETEST TABOO This grey brindle old girl seems to have been around forever. At 13yrs old is a credit to her owners. I have had the pleasure of standing next to her in the ring on many occasions. She does love the show ring still has all the attributes of a Stafford rose ear dark eye, healthy teeth correct bite with a straight front.  Has some muscle wastage but that is to be expected at her age.  Lovely rear angulation moved & handled well, thank you for bringing her.

I'd like to say a big thankyou to the officers and committee for the pleasure of judging both sexes at this well run show. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors and spectators for their sporting demeanour and for creating such a wonderful atmosphere. 

DOGS

Class 1 - Minor Puppy Dog  2(0)

1st Walker's Janikasco Playing For Keeps: Topsize red/white male. Good clean head with nice length to skull, dark round eyes and neat ears. Well boned front with good length to leg which balanced well with length to body. Erratic on the move and made his handler work hard. In good condition.

2nd  Swift's Longdrive Manhatton: Standard brindle dog of heavier make and shape than the winner.

 

Class 2 - Puppy Dog  4(0)

1st Rastall & Durham's Merimna Ahead Inline: Standard 11 month old bl/br dog. Strong head but not exaggerated. Well boned straight front, good angulation to shoulders, level topline and balanced angulation at rear quarters. Moved out easily and was a worthy winner. In lovely condition. Best Puppy Dog.

2nd Smith's Chinastaff Soldier Boy: Bl/br male, slightly more up on the leg than the winner. Powerful skull but not quite the under jaw strength of 1st. Good overall body properties, presented in lovely fit condition.

3rd Beard's Hasweth Bruce Bogtrotter.

Class 3 – Junior Dog  3(0)

1st Smith's Chinastaff Boxer Boy: Strong headed bl/br of good size, litter brother to 2nd in puppy dog and carries many of the same attributes. He was also presented in lovely fit condition. Handled to advantage. 

2nd Calladine's Calrolo The Mighty Ajax: Standard red dog, good head and bite, strong square front and enough length to body. He wasn't enjoying himself and was difficult to assess.

3rd Russell's Russtaff Clyde's Pride.

 

 Class 4 – Novice Dog  6(0)

1st Harness & Preston's Jajca's Mac The Knife: Standard brindle with white on chest. Good clean head with enough length to skull. Well boned wide front, good topline with nice length to body, good backend giving balance on the move.

2nd Gregory's Wildstaff Mister Machismo: Compact bl/br with white on chest. Strong head, bone and body but not quite the balance of winner.

3rd Parker's Rumrouke Rubino.

1st Hall's Willowstaff Black Prince: Bl/br dog of good size, strong functional head type showing no lippyness and housing big teeth. Straight front with good weight of bone, good topline, taut underline and nice length to body. Clean athletic type, shown in fit condition.

2nd Watkin's Kinswatstaff Goodfella JW: Really compact standard bl/br with white on chest. Strong head with good bite, strong in body but not the overall balance of first.

3rd Hale & Kemp's Maxsta Caymen King At Caymenstaff JW.

 

Class 6 – Post Graduate Dog  8(3)

1st McGrath's Jajca Phoenix From The Flame: Topsize red dog of athletic make and shape. Clean unexaggerated head, strong straight front with ample bone. Good topline with nice length to body and muscular rear quarters. This dog was in peak condition, credit to his owners for the obvious work that goes into him.

2nd Kerr's Alport Latino Heat For Mamasitas: Topsize bl/br clean enough in head with good bite and big teeth. Straight front with good bone, topline and backend. Not the condition of winner but nonetheless a close decision.

3rd Craddock's Bullstake Bomber At Creddogz.

 Class 7 – Open Dog  8(1) A class of real quality.

1st King's Leaky The Woo: Bl/br/wh of standard proportions. Strong, functional head with super bite and big teeth. Well boned straight front with good layback and set on to shoulders. Compact body with good width to pelvis, backend and rear construction, pads well placed giving good vertical columns of support. Moved with purpose. A good honest Stafford male who's always on the look out for trouble. Shown and handled well and in cracking condition. Best Dog and Res Best In Show.

2nd Smith & Cox's Willowstaff Evolution: Another quality unexaggerated dog. Clean head with length to skull. Good bite, neat ears and round eyes. Lovely clean front with good weight of bone. Level topline leading on to sound rear quarters. Moved easily but would prefer him a little fitter.  Res Best Dog.

Neat all round head properties, clean straight front leading onto good topline and well placed rear quarters. Light and agile on the move, a real professional in the ring for such a youngster.  Res Best Bitch. 

  2nd Thomas's Niatona Stolen Kisses At Valortaurus: Another feminine puppy with nothing over done at this stage. Nice head, strong boned front, nice length to body and tidy rear quarters. Very much a youngster.

3rd Wall & Web's Valglo Dark Princess. 

 

Class 10 – Puppy Bitch  12(2) 

1st Craddock's Egyptian Sunset At Creddogz: Topsize red with white on chest. Cracking young bitch who took my eye instantly. Lovely feminine head with enough length of skull and clean lips. Good bite, neat ears and dark eyes. Super straight front with excellent length to forearm. Well set on and angulated shoulders. Excellent rib cage with plenty of heart and lung room. Strong topline, taut underline with nice width to pelvis and rear angulation to balance. Moved with ease, her young handler does a sterling job. I'd be happy to be her owner. Congratulations and best of luck for the future.  Best Bitch, Best Puppy Bitch, Best In Show and Best Puppy In Show.

 2nd Wall & Web's  Jessica's Midnight Miss: Topsize bl/br who was stronger in skull than winner. Straight front with good length to leg. Pleasing length to body and nice backend. Not quite the balance of construction but she was up against a real star today.

1st Tittley & Bosanko's Spearhead Jewel Jade: Standard dark brindle/white of 10 years who still has all the functional attributes that are required.
